My Idea about Automatic Clothes Machine

Alright. So, I just having a little chat with my girlfriend when this idea suddenly popped up in my head.

She talks about want to do something, some idea where we can put IT into it since it's her expertise and since now I'm kinda interested in tailorship world or whatever people call it then this idea suddenly popped up.

What I have in my mind is something like an automatic clothes machine. This machine will be operated by some kind of robotic technology, like any products nowadays.

So, here is how the machine will works. First, a sheet of clothes will run into two parts of the machine, one on top, another on the bottom. Then, there's an automatic cutting knife which shaped like the desired clothing. Then the cut cloth move in some ways and make the cut cloth from the bottom meets the one from the top, stacked, and move to next step. Last step is automatic sewing machine to bind the clothes.

But, as I write this article, I found some downside of this idea. First is that this only possible to some type of clothing, like T-shirts, tanktops, croptops, pants, etc. Second, the design will be monotonous so unless you into plain clothes, you won't want to buy any of these. Third, there are some issues about the holes in the clothes. Fourth, possibly, the end of the clothes are not folded before sewed.

So, in the end sewing is a semi hand craft type of work. While there are fully automatic embroidery machines available in the market, I think it's not weird that there are no fully automatic sewing machine in the market. To make a good clothing, humans still needed. I guess not all jobs can be replaced by robots, huh?
